The Magic of Markets & Creative Community

One of my absolute favorite parts of growing Treasures Recreated has been participating in markets and vendor events.

There’s just something so special about spending the day surrounded by creative people while getting to talk about the things I love most — thrifting, upcycling, crafting, sustainability, fashion, and finding beauty in things that might otherwise get overlooked. 

Honestly, it never really feels like “work.”

Markets have also introduced me to some really incredible people. Through vendor events, I’ve made friendships, partnerships, and connections I never would have expected when I first started. There’s such a supportive energy in creative communities, especially among other small businesses and artists. It’s inspiring being surrounded by people who are all building something they care deeply about.

One of my biggest goals with Treasures Recreated is simply to keep reaching more people who connect with my work. I want to continue building something that allows me to create art and handmade pieces I genuinely love while sharing them with people who appreciate creativity, sustainability, thrifting, and individuality the same way I do. Markets have been one of the biggest ways I’ve been able to do that — not only by selling my work, but by having conversations, building friendships, and creating future opportunities through the people I meet along the way.

And beyond the social aspect, I genuinely love preparing for markets.

There’s something satisfying about stepping back and seeing everything you’ve made displayed together in one space. I love putting together my booth displays, arranging products, adding little details, and making the setup feel welcoming and fun. 

At the end of the day, markets are about so much more than selling products.

They’re about conversations, inspiration, community, creativity, and finding people who connect with what you’ve created. Every market teaches me something new, introduces me to someone unexpected, or inspires a future idea.

And honestly? Every single one makes me even more excited for the next.
